This hospitable and friendly family hotel is situated in beautiful wooded surroundings on the edge of the Hoge Kempen National Park. In fact, the hotel is located directly on one of the 62 “cycling and rambling routes” that run through the park. Just across from this very attractive spot, you will find an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a lovely outdoor playground. And if you are into horse-riding, there are stables nearby, so you can go for a ride through the stunning countryside.

All of the 20 comfortable rooms have their own bathroom, with bath and shower, WC, telephone, mini-bar, fridge, TV and radio. Every room also has wireless Internet. Start your day with a relaxing breakfast in the charming breakfast room, where you can help yourself from the delicious and hearty array on the breakfast buffet.

Surroundings

As the surrounding area is endowed with many delightful woods and forests, there are endless possibilities for walking and cycling through the trees and heathland, along streams and up hill and down dale. You can pick up maps free of charge from us and accommodation for bikes and parking your car is also free. There are all sorts of tracks and trails nearby for riding horses or mountain bikes. Water sports enthusiasts can sail and windsurf on the 17-hectare Papendaalheide lake. Spend some time at the De Lieteberg visitor centre, where you can go on a journey of discovery into the fascinating world of insects. Or enjoy an outing to nearby Genk, Maastricht (5 km) Tongeren (15 km) and Maasmechelen Village (15 km).
